An awards ceremony turned ugly this past week when Courtney Love and Lily Allen had to be physically separated backstage. Based on the version you accept, either Lily made a comment about Love’s child Francis Bean or Love made comments about Allen’s Chanel deal – all other celebrities were prohibited from wearing Chanel. However it started, the women were screaming expletives and were pulled apart. Allen called Love a “paranoid drug-addled lunatic”.
Love reportedly told her TV crew: ‘I can see me and Lily Allen are going to have a fist fight tonight.’
Lily’s version:
“When I saw her at the NMEs she tried to talk to me and I told her to shut up and stop spreading stupid rumours about me. And that’s pretty much it.
I’d never fight with her – I don’t pick on crazy old ladies.”
After the event, the women continued their feud on Twitter. That has to be the lamest end to a catfight ever. However, given their careers, these women will be together at some event soon. We’ll see if they pick up where they left off.

The Shockwaves NME Awards lived up to their name Wednesday night when former rock homegirls Lily Allen andCourtney Love mixed it up backstage. The cordial, mutual celebrity kissy pooh-poohs apparently took an ugly turn, with both parties shouting expletives at each other. 
Lily Allen chimed in on Twitter as well…apparently the bust-up was all about dresses???
